As cheesy as it may sound, I really love and am thankful for the Christmas Spirit. It's something that really should be present all year round. But, since it generally isn't as strong as it is this time of year, I love to feel it when Christmas comes around. People are more generous and happier.
Tonight our ward held an auction where all of the proceeds are going toward the Sub for Santa program to buy gifts for children. It was a lot of fun. It was amazing to see the generosity there tonight as people bid on the various items. Honestly, was you got into it, it wasn't hard or burdensome to think about how much you would be paying. It's all going toward a good cause. The Christmas Spirit helped out a lot and it made the experience feel pretty good.
Christmas really does bring out the best in people. I love the spirit of this season.
